Firing an Intoxicated Employee

Swollen Thumb's lead plumber has been coming into work intoxicated. Jose has been seen by many employees on the job working under the influence. Recently he jeopardized the safety of other workers and has not been performing to par. Jose broke the company policy on drug-abuse and there are no extenuating circumstances. Termination is uniformly enforced for this behavior.

Update on HR Benefit Strategy
